Mrs. Emilee Hawkins

Second Grade

I am Mrs. Hawkins and I have been a 2nd Grade teacher here at Excelsior since 2018. I love teaching history and Geography! It’s so fun to see kids learn about other countries like India, China and Japan. I love bringing reading into every subject and we always read fun chapter books like The One and Only Ivan. 

I grew up in West Jordan, Utah and attended Utah State University and completed a degree in Elementary Education. I loved living in Logan, Utah and am so happy to live in a smaller town again. 

When I’m not teaching you will find me reading a good book on the couch, hiking in the mountains or kayaking with my family.
