Biography

My name is Mrs. Soto and I am so excited to teach kindergarten at Excelsior Academy again this year. I am originally from Spokane, Washington and loved playing school as a child! I always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. After graduating with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Washington State University, I began my teaching career in rural Alaska. I taught kindergarten in the small Alaskan village of Gambell from 2007-2009. It was an incredible adventure and valuable learning experience. Since then I moved to Utah, have worked at Excelsior since its opening in 2009, and absolutely love being a kindergarten teacher at our AMAZING school!

When I am not teaching, I am busy chasing my feisty 3-year old daughter, Madelynn and cuddling with my sweet newborn son, Dominic.We love taking small adventures, hiking, and travelling together as a family.I also enjoy listening to audio books, running and doing Zumba.

I look forward to this school year and getting to know everyone throughout the school year.
