Greetings and Salutations!
This is my first year at Excelsior (2025-2026), but my fourth year teaching, and I am thrilled to get to know you and your families. I am new to Tooele County and am originally from Southern California. However, I have been in Utah for the past five years. It takes a village to raise a child, and it took a village to raise me. What a joy it has become to pay that forward. I hope that I can inspire curiosity, enthusiasm, resilience, and a love for learning in each of my students such that it will allow them to grow into who they want to become.
I earned my bachelor's degree from University College Roosevelt (Utrecht University) in 2018 with a dual major in International Relations and Cultural Anthropology, and a minor in Dutch Language and Culture. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer to Thailand prior to moving to Utah. Since moving to Utah, I have been slowly but surely making my way through a master's degree with Utah State University in Curriculum and Instruction.
Some nerdy fun facts about me: I enjoy learning about different languages and cultures, poetry, taking care of my chickens, gardening, cooking, and spending time with loved ones. And yes, I love math too.
