Mrs. Marissa Maxfield

Kindergarten

Hello! My name is Marissa Maxfield and I am thrilled to be teaching at Excelsior Academy. I graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Music Education with a K-6 certification. I love bringing music and movement into my classroom as a supplement to the amazing curriculum offered at Excelsior. I taught Junior High for 2 years, followed by 8 years of working in early childhood education as a teacher and preschool owner. Working with young children is truly my passion, and teaching kindergarten is my dream job! 

My husband and I have three children and love living in Tooele County. I enjoy being on the water in a kayak or canoe, reading great novels, singing all types of music and spending time with my family. I am ready for a fabulous year in kindergarten!
