Biography

Greetings! My name is Robyn Kartchner and I am thrilled to be a Special Education Teacher at Excelsior Academy. I began my educational journey on Dugway Proving Grounds, where I was the third generation to graduate from Dugway High School. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Family, Consumer Sciences and Human Development with an emphasis in Community Services from Utah State University. I was undecided about what I wanted to be doing with my degree, until I worked as a Paraeducator for five years in San Juan County. I fell in love with Special Education. I earned my teaching license and Special Education Endorsement through Weber State University and looked for opportunities to begin my life as a Special Education Teacher. This exciting path has led me here to Excelsior and back to Tooele County!

I love traveling, board games, and watching my two sons learn and grow. I enjoy studying, learning and sharing that love of learning with everyone!
