Mrs. Rubi Stephens

I'm Señora Stephens and this is my second year teaching Spanish in the elementary and middle schools, and LOVING it! Teaching has been my dream ever since I was a high school senior in Peru! I was born and raised in a city called Trujillo where I studied Science Comunication and Early Childhood Education, both bachelor degrees from Antenor Orrego University. I was teaching in Peru for 17 years when I made the bold decision to leave everything behind and move to the United States. In 2018, I started my career at Excelsior as an instructor. I love spending time in the outdoors with my husband and showing off my Peruvian culture by dancing like a Latina woman! Enseñar es mi pasión. Considero que ser maestra es una vocación más que una profesión.
