Hello! I am so excited to be teaching Social Dance and Coaching Cheer at Excelsior Academy. I am mother of two amazing boys and have been with my husband/high school sweetheart for 19 years. I joined my first year of 7th grade as a cheerleader and went on to competition cheerleading in the 8th grade. As I continued with competitions I also volunteered as a cheer youth coach. In high school I was involved with the PEP Club my freshman year, and as I continued my high school studies in 10th grade, I began Dance Conditioning, and Intermediate Dance classes, as I was also continuing coaching for the youth cheer team through the rest of my high school years.
My hope is to create well rounded cheerleaders/dancers who are role models for our school and are also passionate, and captivating. I also believe that cheer and dance can provide a basic structure in many different aspects in life, which teaches dedication, teamwork, responsibility and helps build confidence.
After high school I graduated to be a Certified Nursing Assistant, but later received a job in a department which changed my course from nursing starting at the bottom with hopes to grow and that’s exactly what I did. I began working and ended up helping the company grow full speed and was there for nine years. In those nine years, helped build the operations and many other duties for growth and later became the Director of Operations, and I then became the Liaison of Operations. I was on the company Party Planning committee that led me to party planning on my own time.
While I am not working, I’ve been in a variety of mud runs, obstacle courses and fun runs such as The Dirty Dash, Woman of Steel, Spartan Races that led me to collect 4 metals that allowed me to receive the Spartan Trifecta Metal.
While I am not doing those activities I enjoy being with my family, camping, fishing, riding horses, taking care of my animals, coaching baseball for my boys, horse riding lessons and always being there for my nieces and helping them in dance throughout their childhood.
I am looking forward to an amazing year at Excelsior Academy!
