Biography

I feel very humbled and honored to be the Director of Excelsior Academy Elementary.  I love this school with all my heart!  

I grew up in Price, Utah where my Dad taught highschool for 38 years.  While there, I participated in theater and choir.  Those things lead me to a wonderful scholarship at USU where I continued my education.  My senior year at USU I realized what my true calling was, to become a teacher.  I finished my bachelors degree and then after moving to Washington State with my husband, attained my teaching degree from the University of Washington.  For the first few years of my married life my husband was in the military.  So, I have had the opportunity to live in many different places and be part of many different schools.  This travel experience also helped me to know what an extraordinary place Excelsior Academy is.  On the very first day I was here, I knew that I had found where my professional calling had led me and that I was home! 

 I love my family of 5 children.  My kids, husband and I love going to amusement parks, Friday Pizza movie nights, going to the beach, and lazer tag.  Some of the things I really love are Charlie Brown, hippos, anything pink or sparkly, taking pictures, raspberries, and Excelsior Academy students.
