  • Fall '23 Speech Language Technician

    School-Based Speech-Language Technician — SLT 

    Excelsior Academy in Erda, Utah, is seeking to hire a part-time Speech-Language Technician to serve students in grades K—8. This is a great opportunity for an SLT looking to work Monday through Thursday with a great school in a positive work environment. 

    Job Duties: 

    • Administer therapy to students with speech and language deficits, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic disorders, under the direction of the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist 
    • Work collaboratively with the SLP to document Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Performance and progress notes, 
    • Assist with yearly routine Hearing and Kindergarten screenings with proper supervision 
    • Accurately and consistently take and maintain data logs during therapy sessions to help provided progress on IEP goals 
    • Abide by school and educational policies and procedures; Comply with HIPAA & FERPA laws 
    • Instruct and support students with various disabilities such as Autism, Learning disabilities, Health impairments, Down syndrome, behavior disorders, and Cognitive deficits. 
    • Other duties as necessary.

    Requirements: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders 
    • Ability to pass a background check 
    • Three job references 
    • SLT license through the USBE

  • Fall '23 Special Education Instructor

    Special Education Instructor Position

    Excelsior Academy is looking for candidates who are energetic, enthusiastic and committed to student success. Special Education Instructors work under special education teachers to meet the needs of students with disabilities throughout their school day. Candidates must work well in a team environment and attend to a large variety of tasks during the day. Student needs vary, requiring flexibility as a necessary component of a successful special education instructor.

    The instructor position requires a high school diploma. Instructors work 36.5 hours per week and only work during the school year (off during school vacations).

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist students with disabilities in academic, behavioral, and social needs
    • Help students with lunch, recess, and transitions and assist during carpool.
    • Support during special education and regular education academic and social groups.

  • Custodial member

    We are looking for an ambitious, hard working, self-directed person that has basic skills in custodial/janitorial work. Duties include: vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, mopping, sweeping, window cleaning, dusting, providing a clean/safe environment for students and staff, and other duties as assigned. Persons interested should be able to operate floor scrubbers and other small equipment and be able to lift 40 lbs. This job will be a Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, full time hourly position.
