Mrs. Jolene Beard

Hello! My name is Jolene Beard and have been married since 1998. We have five amazing kids. I enjoy cooking, sewing, reading, music, and traveling. I grew up in the small town of Riverton, UT—not so anymore!  One of the best things about my childhood was that I got to spend it as a twin. Competition between siblings and especially my twin is what helped motivate me to do well in school. I also attribute my love of learning to some amazing teachers: my high school biology teacher and my calculus teacher. This lead me to continue my education at BYU and I received my bachelors in botany—biotechnology and my masters degree in agronomy and horticulture with an emphasis in plant genetics. I hope that I can inspire my students to be life-long learners.
