Mrs. Jera Smith

Fourth Grade

Hi, my name is Mrs. Smith! I moved all the way from Illinois to teach here at Excelsior Academy in 2021. I fell in love with the school and the student body when completing my internship at Excelsior, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this wonderful school! I graduated from Western Governors University with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I have always had a passion for teaching and I am so thrilled to have the role as a 4th grade teacher here at Excelsior! More personally, I am a huge animal lover, and I have a black Labrador Retriever named Ellie. I also enjoy spending my free time outdoors with my dog and my husband. I am so excited for this school year and having the opportunity to watch my amazing students learn and grow!
