Mrs. Trisha Richards

Third Grade

Hello! My name is Trisha Richards and I am so excited for this coming school year! My family and I have been part of the Excelsior family since 2018 - as a student, parent, board member, volunteer, teacher intern, and now teacher. We wouldn't trade our experiences for anything; we love Excelsior! 

I graduated from Utah State University with both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education/Deaf Education, and then taught for three years at schools for the Deaf in Arizona and Utah before staying home to raise my boys. In the fall of 2020 I found myself working at Excelsior, and I soon realized that this is exactly where I am meant to be at this time. 

Outside of teaching, I love to spend time with my husband and two boys. We love to travel, go for bike rides, have game nights, and go on lots of adventures. Life is meant to be lived!
