Mrs. Jayelle Hegewald

Fourth Grade

I am so excited to be teaching at Excelsior Academy, where each day I am surrounded by a remarkable group of staff and students. I look forward to helping students grow both socially and academically, through positive classroom approaches and research-based teaching strategies. 

I was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada and moved to the Tooele valley in 2001. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies in 2019 and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education in 2021, both from Western Governors University. 

In my free time, I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, trying new foods, and exploring new places with my husband and 3 children. We live in Stansbury Park with our curious kitten, Zuri.
