Biography

I'm Mrs. Brown and I'm thrilled to be teaching 1st grade. I have a passion for teaching literacy. There is something so special about seeing a student become a confident reader. I agree with Jacklyn Kennedy when she said "There are many little ways to enlarge your child's world. Love of books is the best of all."

I love spending time outdoors with my family camping, riding motorcycles, kayaking, hiking, and running. I have a passion for exploring new places and doing humanitarian work in other countries. I enjoy cooking for my family, reading, and snuggling up and watching a good movie.

I am a long time resident of Tooele County. My husband and I are the parents of six children. We have five adventurous boys and one princess. Through my children, I have seen the impact a caring and dedicated teacher can have on a child. I feel it is a privilege to be an educator. 

I love coming to work each day to “play” with my students. I am a firm believer that children learn best if they are having fun. I believe in being enthusiastic, kind, patient, a little silly but most of all POSITIVE!
