Mrs. Stacie Thorup

Second Grade

Hi! My name is Stacie Thorup and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade at Excelsior this year! I got my Elementary Education degree at Utah State University in 2009. After graduating, I taught third grade for 4 years. I then decided to stay home with my children until they were in school full time. I returned to teaching at Excelsior in 2020. 

My husband and I have boy/girl twins that attend Excelsior. As a family, we love spending time outdoors. Some of our favorite activities include camping, kayaking, riding our side by side, and swimming. We also love to go on road trips to see parts of the beautiful country we live in. 

Reading children’s books is one of my very favorite things to do and I am excited to read some awesome books with my class this year. I look forward to another great year of learning with my students!
