Biography

I am Ms. Grieashamer, better known by the students as Ms. G. I grew up all over the United States since my dad was in the Marine Corps, so no one place had ever felt like home for me. I went to the University of North Carolina Wilmington from 2004-2008 for English (technical writing) and Creative Writing (publishing). I moved to Utah in 2015 and have been happy to call Utah home as I explore all the amazing hiking and rockhounding opportunities Utah has to offer. I have 3 living children, all in elementary school, who have each benefited from various services in Special Education. I started my journey in Special Education in the 2020 school year here at Excelsior as a Special Education Instructor and have found my true passion. I have been going back to school at Western Governors University to get a dual Special Education/Early Education degree since 2021. I look forward to working with everyone in my new role as a Special Education Teacher for 6th grade for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year and look forward to what my future holds here at Excelsior.
